Nina Finci
Role: English Teacher/ Instructional Lead
Nina Finci has been in education since 2000 - serving as an ELD teacher, instructional coach and teacher leader. Nina holds her B.A in English from UC Berkeley and her MFA in Creative Writing from University of San Francisco. As an immigrant to the United States and a former newcomer ELD student in high school, Nina has been inspired to work with emerging bilinguals throughout her career. Her journey includes teaching at Balboa High School in SFUSD, Peninsula Continuation High School in SMUHSD, and ultimately, Bridge Academy. She has been a part of Bridge since its inception, working alongside her exceptional colleagues to grow it into an independent school, focused on cultivating love, justice, hope, and joy for both students and staff. Nina is passionate about creating a classroom space where every student feels loved and finds a sense of belonging. Nina looks forward to continuing her collaboration with colleagues and spotlighting Bridge Academy as a model of humanizing, anti-racist education.
