Dear Bridge Academy students and families,
I hope this message finds you well. I am excited to be preparing to welcome students back to campus for the 2025-2026 school year. I want to assure you all that we will continue to do everything in our power to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students. It is our mission to support every student in their educational journey so that they learn English, complete graduation requirements, have a plan for after graduation, and feel part of a strong community of care. We will always do everything we can to meet the needs of our students; make sure that they feel sufficiently challenged academically; and feel cared for and loved. We hope that families will partner with us in this work; you are an integral part of our efforts.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 13th. Students can come by the office (room 28) to pick up their schedules early on Tuesday, August 12th from 9:00-11:00am or 1:00-3:00pm if they would like. Students who do not pick up their schedules on Tuesday should plan on arriving at school on Wednesday the 13th by 8:15 to pick up their schedules. As a reminder, classes start at 8:30am so we would like students to arrive at school by 8:25 so that classes can start promptly at 8:30am.
We would like to invite you to our back to school night and welcome back dinner on Thursday, August 14th starting at 5:30 p.m. You will have the opportunity to hear a short presentation from the school staff at 6:00pm and then visit each classroom to meet our teachers and staff and hear about what students will be learning throughout the year. Dinner will be provided and this is a family event so feel free to bring your other children.
I want to acknowledge that we are living through difficult times; yet I am confident that when we live through In Lak’ech (tu eres mi otro yo) and practice empathy and compassion, we can support one another and face the challenges as a community. At the Bridge Academy, we want to bring hope and justice into your lives and the world. At the Bridge Academy, students will be loved and cared for. We want to provide our students with an education that will help them thrive. I look forward to working in community with you this school year.

Queridos estudiantes y familias,
Espero que este mensaje los encuentre bien. Me emociona estar preparando todo para dar la bienvenida a los estudiantes de regreso para el año escolar 2025-2026. Quiero asegurarles que continuaremos haciendo todo lo que esté a nuestro alcance para mantener un entorno seguro y acogedor para todos ellos. Nuestra misión es apoyar a cada estudiante en su camino educativo para que aprendan inglés, cumplan con los requisitos de graduación, tengan un plan para después de graduarse y se sientan parte de una comunidad solidaria y fuerte. Siempre haremos todo lo posible para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros estudiantes, asegurarnos de que tengan retos académicos, y que se sientan cuidados y queridos. Esperamos que las familias se unan a nosotros en este trabajo; ustedes son una parte fundamental de nuestros esfuerzos.
Nuestro primer día de clases es el miércoles 13 de agosto. Los estudiantes pueden pasar por la oficina (salón 28) a recoger sus horarios el martes 12 de agosto de 9:00 a 11:00 a.m. o de 1:00 a 3:00 p.m., si así lo desean. Los estudiantes que no recojan sus horarios el martes deben planear llegar a la escuela el miércoles 13 a las 8:15 a.m. para recogerlos. Como recordatorio, las clases comienzan a las 8:30 a.m., así que pedimos que los estudiantes lleguen a la escuela a más tardar a las 8:25 a.m. para que las clases puedan comenzar puntualmente.
Nos gustaría invitarlos a nuestra noche de regreso a clases y cena de bienvenida el jueves 14 de agosto a partir de las 5:30 p.m. Tendrán la oportunidad de escuchar una breve presentación del personal de la escuela a las 6:00 p.m., y luego visitar cada salón para conocer a nuestros maestros y al personal, y escuchar sobre lo que los estudiantes estarán aprendiendo durante el año. Se proporcionará la cena y este es un evento familiar, así que siéntanse libres de traer a sus otros hijos.
Quiero reconocer que estamos viviendo tiempos difíciles; sin embargo, tengo confianza en que cuando vivimos a través del In Lak’ech (tú eres mi otro yo) y practicamos la empatía y la compasión, podemos apoyarnos mutuamente y enfrentar los desafíos como comunidad. En Bridge Academy, queremos traer esperanza y justicia a sus vidas y al mundo. En Bridge Academy, los estudiantes serán amados y cuidados. Queremos ofrecer a nuestros estudiantes una educación que les ayude a prosperar. Espero con entusiasmo trabajar en comunidad con ustedes este año escolar.
